Float Find Treasure Hunt Returns July 10-August 28

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

The Port of Everett and Schack Art Center are partnering for the 2026 Float Find treasure hunt, running from July 10 to August 28. The free, family-friendly event features 200 unique glass floats hidden around Waterfront Place and Jetty Island. Each Friday, 25 floats will be placed—five at Waterfront Place and 20 at Jetty Island.

The public can find clue balls at Waterfront Place for exchanging with glass floats. Additional opportunities to win floats include the Downtown Everett Association’s 'Summer in the City' event on August 14-15 and Schack Art Center’s Fresh Paint art festival on August 15-16. Last year's event saw a 10% increase in Waterfront Place visitors and boosted attendance at Schack's art festival.

Catherine Soper of the Port of Everett and Raedle Alburn of Schack Art Center praised the partnership for connecting community members with local art and waterfront areas. The event includes free artmaking activities at the Port every Friday.

Raedle Alburn of Schack Art Center praised the partnership for connecting community members with local art and waterfront areas“At Schack Art Center, we're thrilled to partner with the Port of Everett to bring the beauty and excitement of hand-blown glass to our community through Float Find. Glassblowing is an ancient art form that has found an extraordinary home here in the Pacific Northwest, and every float is handcrafted right here in Everett by talented local artists. Seeing thousands of people explore our waterfront, search for these unique treasures, and share the excitement with family and friends brings us so much joy. We're especially excited to be at the Port every Friday throughout the season, offering free artmaking activities for all ages, while continuing the celebration in our galleries at Schack Art Center.
