Multiple highway closures and lane reductions are scheduled for Everett-area roads from late August through early September, according to Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) records.
I-405 will have overnight southbound closures from 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, between mileposts 12 and 10. Northbound I-405 will close from 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, between Northeast 85th Street and Northeast 100th Street. I-5 will have single-lane reductions nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. near exit 240 (Alger/Lake Samish Road) through Sept. 4, and northbound I-5 will have left-lane closures nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. north of exit 246 through Sept. 4. SR 4 will have a single lane closed weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. between 50th and 42nd Avenues through Sept. 11.
WSDOT states the I-5 work is for fish passage construction, with details available on a project webpage. SR 4 work involves a buried gas main line extension. The closures are scheduled to end on the dates listed in the WSDOT records, with some projects extending through early September.
