I-5, SR 525, SR 9, I-405 to have lane closures

WSDOT announced lane closures on I-5, SR 525, SR 9, and I-405 starting this weekend through October 30.

On Saturday, Sept. 19, the left lane of northbound I-5 from SR 529 Steamboat Slough bridge to Ebey Slough bridge (milepost 198) will close from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, the right lane of southbound I-5 from Ebey Slough bridge to SR 529 will close from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. On SR 525 in Mukilteo, nightly traffic alternates from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday through Friday for pedestrian upgrades, ending Oct. 30. SR 9 will have lane shifts from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday Sept. 17-18 near 184th Street and Harvey Creek Road. I-405 ramps at Northeast 85th Street will close from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21. Detours will be in place for I-405 closures.

WSDOT says the closures are for maintenance, pedestrian upgrades, and utility work. Residents should expect delays and use detours when available. The I-5 closures end Sept. 20, while SR 525 and SR 203 work continues through Oct. 30.
