Snohomish County Launches Economic Recovery Task Force

Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers and County Council Chair Nate Nehring announced a countywide economic recovery effort on April 3, 2020. The initiative includes the Future Workforce Alliance and the Blue Ribbon Economic and Workforce Recovery Task Force. These groups will coordinate efforts to support local businesses and workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Kim Williams, CEO of Providence Health and Services NW, will chair the Future Workforce Alliance. Amy Drewel, owner of Mosaic Insurance Alliance, LLC, will serve as vice chair. The Economic and Workforce Recovery Task Force is co-chaired by Drewel and Ray Stephanson, former mayor of Everett. The groups will focus on immediate and long-term economic recovery needs. The Office of Economic Recovery and Resiliency will support both groups.
