SR 529, I-5 lanes closed for maintenance

Multiple road closures begin this week for maintenance work in the Everett area, according to Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) records. The Snohomish River Bridge on SR 529 southbound will have its left lane closed starting Sept. 16, 2026.

I-5 will see lane closures on Sept. 19-20 for northbound and southbound lanes, with the most significant closure being on I-5 northbound from the SR 529 Steamboat Slough bridge to Ebey Slough bridge. Southbound I-5 will also close its right lane on Sept. 20. Nightly lane closures on I-5 southbound will continue until Sept. 17.
